Motus Terrae, in collaboraton with the Cultural Centre of Elefsina’s Municipality, contacted children participating in the centre’s workshop. Each pupil was asked to write a letter under the title: «If my neighbourhood is the whole world, how this could be better?». The collected letters were the main material of an artistic performance addressed to the very same citizens of the city of Elefsina, aiming at giving prominence to the voice of the children and their view of the future to come.
The performance took place near the city’s central square, where a flying postman delivered the letters by throwing 600 hundred copies from 60m high. The letters were read out loud for everyone to hear.
«Elefsina: Letters of the city» was presented within the frame of Aeschylia Festival in the «Contemporary Theatre Creation» section, in July 2012.
